It is time for clinicians to develop the core competencies required to address

spiritual or religious problems. This workshop is

meant to facilitate the increase in competency necessary to treating the whole

person, by including the spiritual component of clinical care in an interfaith/

interspiritual or pluralistic manner that may capacitate a new and higher version of wellness.

OBJECTIVES

Upon successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able

to:

• Participants will learn to recognize spiritual or religious problems,

spiritual abuse, spiritual woundedness and spiritual crises.

• Participants will learn specific exercises and interventions to facilitate

client awareness of the deeper essence of Self.

• Participants will learn how to facilitate a client’s awareness of the inner

wisdom center toward the end of meaning-making.

• Participants will learn the presence process as a primary intervention.
