Michelle Bolton, LPC-S

 

Michelle trauma-informedis a licensed professional counselor and counseling supervisor in Alabama. She has been assisting adults and adolescents to reach their therapeutic goals for 17 years in various settings, including inpatient, community mental health, and private practice, with work that includes counseling and assessment, supervising others, consulting, and creating new programs. Prior to becoming a licensed professional counselor, Michelle had obtained a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and worked in education and childcare settings. Michelle has been inspired by recent changes in ALCA to become active in our own professional development as counselors, to serve our diverse populations, and to broaden the support we need due to the demands of our careers. Michelle currently serves ALCA Chapter 1 as Vice President/President-elect. She also owns a private practice where she serves clients and provides supervision to associate licensed counselors. Affinity Counseling LLC

Counseling Gender Expansive Youth and Internal Family Systems Theory and Model

Elysia Ergle, LPC-S

 

Elysia Ergle is a licensed professional counselor and counseling supervisor in Alabama. She has been practicing for 17 years and has experience in both non-profit and private practice settings with experience in treating substance abuse disorders; trauma; depression; anxiety-related disorders; mood disorders; and grief. Elysia advocates for inclusive and trauma-informed mental health care.  She graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling at the University of North Alabama. Elysia has training in multiple treatment modalities, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; Somatic Experiencing; Brainspotting: and is a Level 1 Internal Family Systems Counselor. Modalities used in session vary depending on the needs, personality, and preference of the client. Elysia provides individual counseling for adults (19+); licensure supervision; professional development training; and workshops. Shattered Sanctuaries: Illuminating the Parallels Between Domestic Violence and Religious Trauma

Cassie Parker, ALC NCC

Under the Direct Supervision of Leslie Phillips LPC-S, NCC, ACS, BC-TMH

 

 Cassie Parker is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Alabama. She has been providing Mental Health services to the communities of North Alabama since 2017. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Alabama. She enjoys any opportunity for professionals to come together in the pursuit of increasing the quality of care provided to the individuals they serve. Upon graduating and beginning to work in the field, she came to identify that a large percentage of both children and adults within the community would benefit from trauma specific informed care. Resulting in Cassie beginning her pursuit of trauma informed modalities. She has worked in: community mental health (as a case manager), school systems (as a county wide mental health counselor), Private group practice (as a counselor for individuals and families), as well as providing care exclusively to school personnel through contracted services.

   Cassie now holds training in EMDR and Theraplay. She is currently pursuing continued training for the integration of somatic approaches into clinical applications and works out of her own private practice Elevate Counseling LLC. elevatecounselingllc.org

1:15-2:45 Session 3: Mindfulness in Practice. – Michelle Bolton, capital LPC – S

2:45-3:00 Break

3:00-4:30 Session 4: Internal Family Systems and Model -Elysia Ergle, LPC – S

4:30-4:45 Evaluations

 

Continuing Education Credit:

 

Six (6) Contact Hours will be awarded for a full day of attendance. Attendees should

also successfully complete an evaluation at the end of the day. No partial credit

will be awarded.
